AN EXPERIENCE OF GOD'S LOVE

Love cannot be taught but it has to be revealed. That’s why the apostle Paul after years of being taught religion, had to experience the grace and love of Jesus Christ on the road to Damascus. Jesus in his fullness of love and grace was revealed to him and it was a total head-on collision between law and grace. Paul and his doctrine was never the same again. Religion is taught, but relationship is experienced. Rules and regulations comes from religion, but love only comes from an experience. It don’t matter how much you study to become a good spouse, you will never become a good spouse except you fall in love and experience the love from your partner. A true, experiential understanding of God’s love will drastically change anyone’s life. That’s the point that the Apostle Paul was making in Ephesians 3:19 “And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God”. Many Christians has the head knowledge of God’s love for them, but because of a wrong mindset, it seldom translates into experience. There are primarily religious teachings that dilute and weaken that revelation and experience of God’s love. God’s love is a radical concept, because it cannot be studied to be understood, you don’t have to understand it to be worthy, you don’t have to be worthy to deserve it, and you don’t have to deserve it to get it. God’s love doesn’t have anything to do with your abilities and how lovely we are. God don't love because we are lovely, he loves because that's who he is. Nearly all of religion links God’s love and acceptance of people to their worthiness. In other words, God’s love is proportional to their performance, and where there’s performance there is always failure, and failure always leads to low self-esteem (if you don’t have the real experience of the love of God). When you come to understand how valuable you are in the eyes of God, and that God is love, you will never be the same again. For God to stop loving you, he has to stop being God. Love is his very nature, and he is incapable of doing anything that is not of love. God’s love has no beginning and no end, it is everlasting. You are loved every second of your life, all you need to do is to receive his love today.
